Here are all the looks featuring Brillante during @front_transfem’s Rise of the Dollz.
We were 40. 40 Trans people to organize this runway show. 9 creators, 14 models, 2 for the soundtrack, 5 for the set and light, 5 for the videos and pictures, and so many helping us backstage.
It was not just a night, to me it was Brillante’s one year birthday, my first runway, working weeks with @front_transfem and the other designers to bring together this vision.
This was not just a runway, it was a proof, it was our way to say that when we say « Hire the Dolls, Pay the Dolls » we are not asking for pity, for tenderness, we are stating facts : WE ARE GREAT, Hiring us a great choice for YOU because we can achieve ANYTHING.
At the same time we stated the exact opposite : we don’t need you. We don’t need your attention, your money or your opportunities. We will create and use them, for us, for our community.
Thank you so much to everyone who came and gave us this energy, this was major. And thank you to the whole team. We did it better than anyone could have 🩷
