Manifesto
When fashion is stripped of its substance, its demands, and its meaning for the benefit of corporate giants, it becomes our responsibility to restore its power.
In the face of shrinking freedoms and the resurgence of fascism, it is up to us :
Queers, People of Color, Women, to rise and fight against all forms of oppression. Resistance must be organized on every front, in every form-including fashion.
Neutrality is no longer an option. It is time to shed light on the fact that our very existence is political. It is time to unite, to protest, to shine, to take the space that is rightfully ours. And we know we will always have to fight because our rights will never be guaranteed, because our lived experiences will always be questioned, because nothing and no one-except ecological collapse-will erase us.
Brillante is a collective project, a community.
A gathering of those who speak too loudly, of queens in mini-skirts and cargos, in sneakers and heels. A rally of those who want to take part in change.
These are not just accessories-they are statements, symbols of resistance.
A way to recognize those who carry their fight into the everyday, a way to stand apart from those who let others decide for them.
In french, Brillante holds two definitions:
Something shiny, shimmering
Something smart, particularly well designed.
These are pieces that make an outfit, a person, an energy, unique.
The world must change, and it starts with us.
Resist, Unite, Brillante.
