Bespoke thigh high boots for the drag artist La Nana Rose
The "DEVIL" boots were originally commissioned by the drag artist La Nana Rose. Made out of deadstock vinyl and with a 3D printed sole, the boots were entirely made in our atelier through a process mixing traditional footwear making techniques and new technologies. The outsole, wrapping around the foot was 3D printed, each sole taking up to 72 hours to be printed.
Inspired by La Nana Rose's art, linked to the distorsion of the human body and surreal inspirations, I created in collaboration with her the Devil boots. With it's double toe point, directly referencing Satan's wife, Baphomet, who is described as having goat feet in greek litterature.
The Devil boots are the first piece of Brillante "Couture" Line, destined to makes bespoke unique footwear for artists, using techniques that would not be usable for bigger productions.
